Hemp Infused Candy Apple Recipe

RECIPE

Trying to decide what to bring to a party can be difficult, so we wanted to show you how to incorporate Vivimu’s Delta 8 THCp Distillate into creepy, bite-sized treats. Not only do they remind you of your childhood since they have that candy apple sucker taste, but they’re easy to dose since they are small and uniform. It really cuts out all of the guesswork when determining the milligram amount of D8 in a single serving.

Creeped to the Core

Ingesting edibles and going to a haunted house can be an exhilarating and eerie adventure, but unless you are comfortable with being high in public, I would not recommend taking an edible and attending a haunted house.

The first time my friends and I decided to consume edibles and head into a haunted house was an interesting adventure and showed us the different effects the same edible can have on different people. Every jump scare we encountered produced a new reaction from our group of friends ranging from screaming to pushing a haunted house employee to absolutely no reaction at all (that was me). Security escorted us out for the pushing of an employee, which was completely understandable since you should never lay hands on anyone, but needless to say, our friend who felt they needed to defend themselves from the pretend ghouls and goblins was not interested in continuing our new holiday tradition.

Navigating a haunted house under the influence adds an extra layer of intensity to the experience. Your heightened imagination can make it seem all too real, ensuring that the haunting memories of the night linger long after the effects have worn off. It’s important to approach such experiences with caution and ensure a safe and responsible journey, so as always, start small, give the edible the proper time to kick in, and be with people (or ghosts) you trust.

Recipe Overview

  • Prep Time: 15 mins
  • Cook Time: 15 mins
  • Servings: 25
  • Mg per serving: 10mg
  • Serving Size: 1 candy apple

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  •  1/2 tsp Food Coloring (Chef’s choice for color)
  • 2 cups White Sugar
  • 1 Candy Thermometer
  • 1/2 cup Water

Tools

  • Melon Baller

Toppings

  • Assortment of whatever candy you prefer to top your candy apples.

Instructions

Apples

Prepare a large bowl of water with a pinch of salt mixed into it. Peel each apple, then use a melon baller to scoop ball shapes from each apple. Toss the apple balls into the bowl of water to prevent browning while you scoop the rest. When finished, pat dry with paper towels and set on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Stick a lollipop stick into each, then set in the freezer for 15 minutes.

Infused Caramel

Add the sugar, water, food coloring, Delta 8 Distillate, and lemon to a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce heat and continue cooking until a candy thermometer reads 300 to 310 degrees F, then remove from heat. It should become brittle and hard.

Assemble

Working quickly, dip each apple pop into the candy and evenly coat it (be careful not to touch the candy, it is unbelievably hot). Set upright on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. When finished coating the lollipops, pop them back in the freezer for a few minutes to fully set.
