Hempsgiving of 2022
As my brother and I prepared for our Thanksgiving feast with friends and close family, we decided to add a unique twist to our traditional dishes by infusing them with hemp.
The kitchen buzzed with excitement as we meticulously planned our menu, aiming to create a memorable and relaxing dining experience for our close cousins and friends. We started by infusing the turkey stuffing with a hemp and herb mixture, enhancing the flavors and ensuring a tender, juicy result. As the stuffing baked to perfection, we crafted a side dish of mashed potatoes infused with cannabutter, offering a subtle hint of cannabis to complement the natural earthiness of the potatoes.
Moving on to dessert, we couldn’t resist incorporating CBD into our grandmother’s pecan pie recipe. The nutty undertones of hemp added a delightful kick to the pie, while a dollop of maple whipped cream over the top provided a sweet touch to round off the meal.
Our Thanksgiving table became a celebration not only of gratitude but also of creativity, as we explored new culinary frontiers with the infusion of hemp and cannabis, creating a feast that tantalized the taste buds and provided a unique, relaxing experience for all who gathered around.

Instructions
Homemade Breadcrumps for Stuffing
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- Using a bread knife, cut the bread into cubes (1/2″ to 3/4″) and lay them as a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake at 250 degrees for an hour, tossing them occasionally to ensure they are fully dried out.
- Set aside and let them cool to room temperature.
Classic Stuffing Recipe
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large pot over medium heat, add butter, .25 grams of Delta 8 distillate and melt. Add in celery and onion, stirring frequently, until they are tender and translucent (8 minutes-ish).
- Move dried bread cubes to a large bowel and add broth as well as the onion/celery mixture on top of the bread. Gently fold the ingredients together until the stuffing feels moist but there is no standing liquid. If it seems dry, add a 1/2 cup of broth until it reaches the right consistency.
- Spray or coat a 9″ x 13″ baking dish with butter or a non-stick spray. Spread the stuffing evenly into the baking dish and then bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes, stirring gently ever 20 minutes.
- Once the top is lightly golden brown, remove from the oven and top with any garnish of your choosing (chopped fresh parsley). Serve immediately.
