D9o / THC-O (THC acetate) — what the research says
Delta-9 THC with an acetate group added; sold here as D9o distillate. Not found in the plant.
How it interacts with receptors. A prodrug: esterases in the body remove the acetate group and release delta-9 THC, which is why users describe a slower, longer arc than THC itself. Once released, the delta-9 THC research applies.
What human research reports. User-report studies describe a gradual onset and a longer duration than delta-9; the delta-9 THC literature (see above) is the reference point for the released molecule.
Animal and cell research. See delta-9 THC.
