A popular form of consuming hemp products is dabbing Delta 8 wax. Just as with other dabbing waxes, the wax is made by extracting the wanted components out of cannabis flower that after extraction forms a waxy substance. Since Delta 8 wax is made from compliant hemp, the product contains little if any THC. So Delta 8 is added to the wax, giving the wax the strength of THC while ensuring it is still federally complaint with Delta9 THC levels.
What is Delta 8 Wax?
Delta 8 wax refers to a potent hemp concentrate that has been agitated during the extraction process, which causes the extracted oil to crystallize and solidify. This wax is extremely flavorful and packed with cannabinoids from the hemp plant. The wax is tested to ensure it is safe and Delta 8 THC is then added into the wax, leaving you with a psychoactive wax that is federally compliant with less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC. The Delta 8 wax will be shipped to you ready to use, just have your dab rig ready for its arrival. Cannabis connoisseurs looking for a rich flavorful Delta 8 wax experience have to look no further.
What is Delta 8?
Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta-8-THC, Delta 8) is a psychoactive cannabinoid found in the Cannabis plant. It is found naturally in the plant but typically it is found in lower concentrations. It is similar in effects to its more famous isomer Delta 9 THC. In fact the chemical formula is identical to Delta-9 THC but differs only in the placement of a double bond starting at either Carbon number 8 or 9. Both Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC bind to the cannabinoid receptor termed cb1, which gives the positive effects THC is acclaimed for. Delta 8 is typically thought of as being the lighter version of Delta 9. The lighter effects are more beneficial in certain situations, for example those who find the effects of Delta 9 too strongly or maybe wanting the relief of pain. It is excellent for daytime use and can allow you to still operate functionally getting tasks accomplished or even socialize without a heavy load.
How is the wax/concentrate consumed?
Delta 8 waxes can be consumed the same way any wax or concentrate can be used. The wax or concentrate is heated to its boiling point and a vapor is made in which you inhale. The most common form is by the use of a dab rig. A dab rig is a glass device similar to the classic water bong but is designed for the vaporizing of waxes and concentrates. As the popularity of waxes has grown so has the ways to use it. There are wide arrays of devices from simple portable wax pens to more specialized devices like an e-mail. Regardless which method you use, the Delta 8 wax will provide you with the experience you are looking for.
Synonyms and different forms.
Waxes can come in a variety of colors and consistency. The texture or consistency of a wax can range from creamy to a harder flaky like substance in which you normally would think of wax appearing like. The softer finer waxes are usually referred to as budder, while the harder varieties are often called crumble. Regardless of the consistency the effects are the same and our Delta 8 wax is produced for a wonderful experience.
Is Delta 8 THC legal?
A few years ago a breakthrough was discovered in that CBD obtained from federally compliant hemp plants could easily be converted into Delta 8 THC. These concentrated forms of Delta8 are tested to ensure that they contain no more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC, making it legal in many states unless specifically prohibited.
Is Delta 8 safe to use?
Delta 8 THC has had very little in the way of studies done on its long-term safety. This is primarily due to it only recently becoming widely available in the cannabinoid marketplace with very little time to conduct studies. While this may be the case, our Delta 8 wax is third party tested for safety and potency.
Is Delta 8 the same as Delta 9?
Delta 8 and Delta 9 THC are both very similar. There is very little difference in the chemical structure of the two and it is good to know that Delta 8 also retains many of the much loved effects of Delta 9. Delta 8 THC does not have the overwhelming feeling D9 THC can have. Delta 8 THC can provide some of the same benefits and is still federally legal in most states.
How many different mediums can Delta 8 come in?
Delta 8 THC can be found in a wide variety of mediums. Delta 8 THC is first made into an isolated distillate form where it is almost pure Delta 8 THC in composition. This distillate is extremely viscous or thick and typically amber to clear in color. This Delta 8 THC isolate can then be added to virtually any type of medium for consumption. The distillate can be used to create vape mixes to simulate natural plant strains; distillate can be added to any type of edible and be eaten. A recent trend is emulsifying or nano encapsulation Delta 8 distillate to allow for more bio-availability when consuming it is an edible.
History of Delta 8 THC
Delta 8 THC was first synthesized in the 1940’s, and it was not until the 70’s that research was begun with the first ones being conducted on mice. Sporadic testing occurred throughout the decades, staying mostly out of mainstream attention. With Hemp Act of 2018, hemp production in the United States soared resulting in a large supply of CBD from the plants. So with an easy synthesis that converts CBD to Delta 8, thankfully this conversion has offered a cannabinoid with great medicinal potential.
