What is Delta 8?
Delta 8 THC is a form of tetrahydrocannabinol that has been the talk of the town by both younger and older people alike. Contrary to its recent popularity, Delta 8 THC has been around since 1941. It was originally synthesized by the chemist Roger Adams from the University of Illinois.
Delta 8 vs Delta 9 chemical difference
Delta 8 is different from Delta 9 from a chemical level because of the placement of a particular double bond on its chain of carbon atoms. Delta 9 has the double bond on the 9th carbon whereas Delta 8 has the double bond on its 8th.

Unfortunately since this legislation has passed, so have others. There are a growing number of states that are making changes to regulate and even ban Delta 8 THC.
Is Delta 8 safe?
Delta 8 THC is 100% safe as long as you are purchasing it from a reputable product. An example of a reputable product would consist of having full panel labs so you can verify the safety of it. The lab results of a product can be found on the label of the product or package via QR code. In order to view the lab results from a QR code you will need to use the camera application in your smartphone to scan the code, which will then take you to the site to view the results. If a product does not have lab results it is not considered safe.
Ways to intake Delta 8 THC
There are several forms of intaking Delta 8 THC. The most common form is vaporizing it. Vaporization can be summarized by saying a certain amount of heat is applied to the distillate to change its form to a vapor so it can be inhaled. Vaping can be done portably through a disposable cartridge or done on a desktop rig, commonly referred to as “dabbing”. The other method is by ingestion. Ingesting can be done by the way of tincture or edible. The benefit of using the aforementioned methods is that both use the help of a fat like butter for a cookie, or MCT oil for a tincture to help its absorption in the body. Once Delta 8 THC is processed by the liver it becomes the metabolized 11 hydroxy form, making the potency very similar to Delta 9 THC.
